TOC Lead

Who is Niles Media?

Niles Media is the production arm of LTN Global, an innovative and fast-growing live and real-time video transport service provider to the media industry. LTN owns its own patented technology, deployed in a global network with data centers across the US, and in Europe and Asia. LTN provides transport for both fulltime channels and occasional use events in traditional television markets, as well as digital streaming to a variety of platforms worldwide.

Niles Media leverages the LTN Network to provide LIVE event production services for our customers. We are known for providing reliable, innovative solutions for production and exceptional customer service. Our customers rely on our expertise and flexibility, not only for content production, but added production value through additional services and distribution.

Position Description:

The TOC Lead will be responsible for assisting in managing and carrying out the core functions of the 24-7 Network Operations Center located in Liberty, Missouri, as it relates to production and added-services workflows. The TOC Lead will understand all services provided by the NOC, and be capable of training new TOC employees on various workflows and platforms. The TOC Lead will manage systems and schedules associated with the NOC. The TOC Lead will provide virtual support for productions, both as they relate to Niles Media events and transport customers. The TOC Lead will manage shifts of the Hub, and be required to work a varied schedule with the possibility of overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage systems and schedules associated with various workflows, equipment, & production.
  • Implement new workflows that have been developed and tested.
  • Provide exceptional support and service to Niles Media/LTN customers
  • Provide real-time customer support, and delegate when necessary
  • Develop rapport with Niles Media/LTN customers and communicate resolution for issues as they arise
  • Log and monitor Niles Media workflows, and communicate TOC needs, as necessary
  • Provide guidance and training to new TOC employees
  • Manage TOC shifts/personnel as designated

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in LIVE broadcast or digital industry
  • Referenceable expertise in AT LEAST one of the following areas:
  • IP video transport (RTMP, MPEG Transport Stream, NDI, HLS)
  • Live event broadcasts (sports, extreme sports, E-sports, corporate, etc.)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP/IBM)
  • Master Control services (closed captioning, ad insertion, monitoring, recording)
  • Experience utilizing various management tools (i.e. XYTech, Zendesk, Slack, etc.)
  • Experience with industry-standard broadcast equipment a positive
  • Network Operating Center and customer service experience a positive
