    Malik Khan

    Executive Chairman

    Malik Khan, executive chairman of the board at LTN, has brought visionary innovation and leadership to the network technology industry for more than 35 years. Prior to co-founding LTN in 2008, he served in top executive roles within the Network Systems Division at Motorola, as entrepreneur-in-residence at Flagship Ventures, as founder and chairman of Indus River Networks and Sitara Networks, and as chairman and CEO of Converged Access and NexTone. A highly effective strategist for companies both large and small, Malik has repeatedly led management teams in bringing highly differentiated, high-quality products and services to market with success.

    Malik holds a B.S. and an M.S. in chemical engineering from MIT and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

  • Yousef Javadi

    President and CEO

    Yousef cofounded LTN and serves as its president and CEO. He is an accomplished leader in telecom wireline and wireless services as well as networking and IP technologies. He brings more than 30 years of experience—both as an entrepreneur and as a senior executive of a Fortune 50 firm—in starting, acquiring, growing, and running global businesses in both B2B and B2C markets.

    Yousef previously served as president of Sprint International, where he ran all of Sprint’s businesses, alliances, and relationships outside of the U.S. Under his leadership, Sprint built its next-generation global internet backbone. Prior to Sprint, Mr. Javadi held senior corporate executive positions, including head of the billion-dollar North American operations of Primus Telecom; president of a wireless messaging unit at G.E. Capital; and vice president of global sales and marketing at OTI, a satellite startup that was acquired by MCI.

    Yousef holds a B.S. and an M.S. in engineering from MIT and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

    Yair Amir

    Chief Science Officer

    Yair cofounded LTN and serves as its chief science officer. As an established expert in building dependable systems and networks, Yair cocreated several messaging systems, including: the Spread group communication toolkit, the first scalable group communication system with strong semantics; the Spines overlay network platform; and the SMesh wireless mesh network, the first seamless 802.11 mesh with fast, lossless handoff. Additionally, he cocreated the Prime Byzantine replication engine—the first to provide performance guarantees while under attack—and the Spire intrusion-tolerant SCADA for the power grid—the first to protect against both system- and network-level attacks and compromises.

    Yair is also a professor of computer science and the director of the Distributed Systems and Networks lab at Johns Hopkins University, where he served as the computer science department chair from June 2015 to June 2018. His award-winning academic research has been funded by DARPA, NSF, DoD, NASA, and the NSA.

    Yair holds a B.S. and an M.S. from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

  • Michal Miskin-Amir

    General Manager, Transmission

    Michal serves as chief technology officer of LTN, where she leads the company’s technical vision to revolutionize live video transport with an advanced, highly reliable IP-based delivery service. She is responsible for all aspects of LTN’s technical execution and service, including development, engineering, and operations.

    Michal is a dynamic technology executive with extensive experience providing transformative technology through sound engineering and innovation. She is a cofounder of Spread Concepts LLC, an inventive creator of cutting-edge, research-based technology that solves real problems in distributed systems and networking.

    Prior to Spread Concepts, Michal was director of software development for Kinkos (now FedEx Office), where she managed the development of highly scalable internet technologies and products. Before Kinkos, Michal worked at Radview Software, where she was technical manager and lead the development of client-server applications. Michal also worked as product manager for internet technologies at Platinum Technology and is a creator of the Spread toolkit.

    Michal holds an M.S. in computer science and a B.S. in mathematics and computer science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

    Alan Young

    CTO, Head of Strategy

    Alan Young, CTO and head of strategy at LTN Global, is an experienced leader and recognized innovator in the broadcast and satellite industries. Prior to joining LTN, he served as COO at Crystal, where he led development of patented technology for universal addressable advertising, built a profitable SaaS/transactional business on existing technology, and guided optimization and growth of the overall business. He earlier served as CTO at Encompass Digital Media, advising on all matters relating to media technology, leading development of the company’s over-the-top (OTT) service offerings, and implementing an OTT strategy that complemented and seamlessly integrated with the existing broadcast systems and satellite distribution. Young has also held senior executive technology positions with the satellite operator SES Americom as well as Citigroup and Viacom. Alan is a fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

  • Chris Myers

    Executive Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer

    With more than 25 years of broadcast and digital operations experience, Chris has held executive and leadership positions at ABC News and CBS News.

    Before joining LTN in 2016, Chris served as EVP of global business development at Encompass Digital Media, where he led a transition to multiple digitally focused products and services while managing large international teams of broadcast operations support personnel.

    Chris has led multiple, high-profile commercial and operations divisions and is known throughout the industry for rapidly growing businesses by implementing cutting-edge technology and efficient, disciplined, broadcast-quality workflows.

    Since joining LTN, Chris has directed all commercial and business development efforts. He focuses on leveraging the highly scalable and reliable backbone of the LTN Global Network to offer numerous digital products and solutions to the quickly evolving and high-growth new media market.
